1. What This Policy Covers
Phurti (operated by [{{Legal Entity Name, e.g., Phurti Technologies Pvt Ltd}}], located at [{{Full Business Address}}]) provides restaurant operations software, including staff workspaces, customer ordering pages, WhatsApp-assisted workflows, and related support tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal data when you use Phurti websites, applications, and services.
This policy applies to restaurant operators using Phurti for business operations and to end customers who interact with a Phurti-powered ordering experience on behalf of a restaurant.
2. Information We Collect
- Account and profile details such as name, email address, phone number, profile image, role, and authentication details (including Google OAuth profile data when using Google Sign-In).
- Restaurant and business information such as restaurant name, menus, categories, pricing, table codes, staff records, website branding, and operating preferences.
- Operational data such as order details, kitchen and billing activity, receipts, table assignments, customer support interactions, and workflow logs created inside the service.
- Customer-submitted information such as customer name, phone number, delivery address, order notes, and order history when a customer uses a Phurti-powered site or messaging flow.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, cookies, and diagnostic logs.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the Phurti platform, including restaurant setup, sign-in, menu publishing, order capture, ticketing, billing support, and related communications.
- To secure accounts, detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service reliability.
- To respond to support requests, improve product performance, and understand how the service is used.
- To send transactional notices such as account updates, operational alerts, and important service communications.
- To comply with applicable laws, enforce our terms, and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Phurti, restaurants, and customers.
4. How Restaurant Customer Data Is Handled
When a customer submits an order or contact details to a restaurant through a Phurti-powered ordering page or messaging flow, that restaurant decides how the data is used for fulfilment, customer service, and business operations. Phurti processes that data to provide the underlying software and related support.
Restaurants are responsible for the notices, permissions, and customer-facing practices they choose to apply in their own business. If you are a customer and have a question about an order, menu item, fulfilment decision, or a restaurant's direct use of your information, you should also contact that restaurant.
5. Platform Integrations and Third-Party Data
To provide core Phurti functionality, we integrate with specific third-party APIs. By using Phurti, you acknowledge these specific data flows:
- WhatsApp & Meta: Phurti utilizes Meta's WhatsApp Business APIs (including whatsapp_business_management and whatsapp_business_messaging permissions). We receive WhatsApp webhook data, store conversation/message logs, and send template messages through Meta. Customer phone numbers, message content/metadata, WhatsApp Business Account data, template data, and webhook/inbox events may be processed via Meta and WhatsApp.
- Google Sign-In: We collect and process Google OAuth profile and authentication data to allow secure login and account creation.
- Local Print Agents: To facilitate restaurant kitchen and receipt printing, print payloads containing order details may be sent to a paired local print agent operating on the restaurant operator's device.
6. How We Share Information
- With service providers and infrastructure partners that help us host, secure, authenticate, support, and operate Phurti.
- With a restaurant's authorized staff and operators when information is necessary to fulfil orders, manage service, or support restaurant workflows.
- With third-party services a restaurant chooses to use with Phurti, such as communications, authentication, hosting, or print-related tooling.
- If required by law, legal process, or a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to investigate fraud, respond to authorities, or protect people and property.
- As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
- We do not sell personal information for money.
7. Retention And Security
We retain information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of data and the role it plays in restaurant operations and security records.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data. No system is completely immune from security risk, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
